Meet the team

The people you will actually spend the week with

Four people, all of them working in education in Mallorca. With eight participants per course, you get to know all of them.

Tòfol Massanet Frontera

Co-founder · Erasmus+ mobility coordinator

Tòfol is co-founder and owner of IIF. Since 2014 he has taught English at CC Sant Salvador here in Artà, which gives the academy deep roots in the local educational community — the schools you visit during a course are schools he works with every week.

He coordinates the Erasmus+ teacher training mobilities from the first enquiry to the certificate, and his experience in intercultural exchange is what keeps the organisational side of your mobility straightforward.

Katerina Srpova

Core lecturer · Lead trainer, Podcasting and Wellbeing

Katerina is a core lecturer at IIF and the lead trainer on the Podcasting and Wellbeing courses. She holds a degree in English and Russian literature from Charles University in Prague, and since 2013 she has been an English teacher and Erasmus coordinator at Cooperativa d’Ensenyament Es Lledoner in Felanitx, where she co-founded the school’s radio station.

She has worked as a podcasting coach for Mallorcan teachers through Ibsteam, and holds a diploma in mindfulness, positive psychology and emotional management from the IEPP and La Salle Centro Universitario — which is where the practical, holistic side of the Wellbeing course comes from.

Portrait of Amy Murray

Amy Murray

Native English lecturer

Amy has been a core member of the IIF teaching team since the academy first opened its doors. Originally from Scotland, she specialises in a purely communicative approach to language learning: interactive lessons that take the stress out of grammar drilling and make speaking English feel natural.

Her sessions are designed so that teachers of every level build speaking confidence quickly, in a supportive group where nobody is left listening in silence.

Portrait of Laura Micheletti

Laura Micheletti

Certified yoga instructor, Wellbeing course

Born in Bergamo, Italy, and holding a degree in International Cooperation, Laura began her yoga journey in 2007 in Northern India, where she lived and worked as a Hindi interpreter. Practising alongside local communities there shaped a philosophy built on the balance between action and contemplation — using asanas and breathwork to work on the body while bringing stillness to the mind.

Certified by Sampoorna Yoga in Spain and further trained by Natalia Paisano in Mallorca, Laura has run her own yoga studio in Artà since 2020. Her sessions give participating teachers a genuine space to decompress and a set of stress-relief tools to take home.
